I buy BOSS, Safflower, Wheat, White Prose Millet, and Oats all in 50 pound bags and mix together for my scratch. In fact, most of my chickens will not touch dried corn – they will eat fresh/frozen or on the cob but not dried. My head roo was raised by another member and given to me when he was almost 1.5 years old, he is excited for dried corn and tries to get my girls to eat it – they think he is crazy.

Thanks for the recipe HorseFeatherz...I am going to head off to the feed store tomorrow and give it a go with our now 7 week olds to see if we can increase the amount of meat on those bones. My birds already go loopy for BOSS and oats...very favorite is BOSS sprinkled on cooked oatmeal.
