D'Uccle Color?

Mine look really different. They are a very dark caramel color and some of the brown looks almost mahogany. I also wonder about what they will look like because so many others have light colors and mine are so dark. Maybe mine are too dark. But then again mine are hatchery stock.???

Yes, I've looked at that page many times. I love all the colors. Mine look like the color of "Acorn & Popcorn". Very rich colors, although the my two little girls are lighter in color than the two little boys. I have been asking on BYC for about 3 weeks or so about the difference in coloring between the two boys and the girls. Even before combs started to differentiate them the colors gave them away. Don't know if that is normal or not because these are our first millies.

Anyone else know?

The girls are a lighter shade of brown with much more black on their wings/backs/heads. The boys are a richer shade of brown and are almost all brown with just a little black on the wings and head.
