I love that color and hope to breed it too.

I just need to find good stock to breed from, so it might take awhile.

parent hens had no access to oegb unless they retained sperm for over 5 weeks (but i dont think they were in a mixed pen with the previous owner either, so probably not even an option), the ONLY rooster they had acess to other than their d'uccle roo was very young (10-12 week) australorps.

guess ill have to wait long and see what his adult colors are like.

here is my mf d'uccle roo, he dosent have much of a beard i guess, he has muffs though. bought from reputable breeder, and have posted photos on here and got comments he was very nice and possibly a "black" mf due to color of his muffs, idk?

here is a mf d'uccle pullet i hatched from eggs from offspring of this breeders birds.

Below is Midgit, 'he' was the smallest to hatch.



Below is Featherfoot (loads of feathers down 'his' leg. 'He' has very tiny wing feathers compared to the rest.



Below is Monster, 'she' was the biggest to hatch.



Below is Chirpy, 'she' chirped a lot inside the shell.

what breeds are these chicks? I heard feather sexing can only be done the day after they hatch and only on certain breeds but I'm not an expert at it so I'm not sure.
