We have this breed of chickens but need to know.....

Is it doo-CLAY or DUKE-uhl or is it neither?

I have heard so many different pronunciations that I use what seems right to me, which is DUCK-ul.

Locally, folks call them DEE-uk-ul

I've heard DOO-clay; doo-CLAY; DUKE-lee; and several other things that I can;t figure out how to spell

I was always taught that you don't pronounce an apostrophe, but blend the sounds on either side unless it's a natural syllable break. Therefore it seems to me that "d'uccle" should be pronounced as if spelled duccle.
