D'uccle Thread

I was wondering is there a particular age when they get broody or a particular months? I want all the help and advice on these little guy and ladies

Oh right thank you, is there a particular age range for when they get broody?
And when they do go broody do you have to separate her from the other chickens? Or can they all stay in the same coop? And how long do they sit for and how long the chicks stay in the coop with mum? X

It takes 21 days for the eggs to incubate, most hens will sit for 22-23 days and than get off the nest with the chicks. You will want to keep mama and babies separate from the other chickens

Wow that's ten years ago, I take it u know quite a lot about them then? How many do u have now and what colours? I would love to know more about them i am really hoping that hopefully mine have some chicks , im 21y/o and have 4 barbu d'uccles and 1 pekin hen, and I would like a friend who knows about d'uccles

I do, but there is always more to learn.

I currently have about 20 Mille fleur d'Uccles, and a few crosses. I also have some project white d'uccles.
