depends on their age...the older they get the more white they will have. if you post some good pics we can help give you an idea of quilty and what can be done to help

How long before a show do you usually start preparing your chickens? I have a hen I'm interested in showing and I want to make sure her feet and head feathers are in good condition before I show her.

doesnt appear to be a d'uccle more of a booted bantam instead when intro into the flock i would slowly introduce them through the fence at first and have something to occupy them to at first like a peice of watermelon

of course they have to do the whole pecking order over and all

If it is unfortunately its not a very good quality one:( He has giant wattles which should not be visible and could use more tail and foot feathers...unless they were plucked out like his poor beard. He looks closest to a Self Blue D'uccle but is very light, almost white

when those feathers grow back take a pic from the side, front, and of his feet if you want a critque good or bad

I was gonna say, first thing I thought of was yours hdowden:) But of course quality ddoesnt compare but color and breed are close. I would wait and see how much beard grows back around those gigantic wattles. If no beard grows then I agree, its just a booted bantam
