. D'uccle roos show their combs at only 1-2 weeks, with the combs being red already at around 3-4 weeks.

It's a girl!

I have a question....

I just bought a trio of white d'uccles from a breeder at a local show. I knew that is was a DQ for them to have complete feathers that weren't white, but my roo just has 3-4 tan spots on the very tips of the feathers. Is this a DQ as well? Is he showable? and, will he pass on the spots even if bred to a all white hen? Thanks!!

So what do you think, here is my 7 week old not sure if its a he or she..

My gut instinct says roo :(
this is a nice pullet...i had a hatchery one that didnt show a comb till 10 weeks but coloring on him was a tell tell sign once i went back and looked at pics and yours doesnt have the coloring of a cockerel either :)

My du'ccle babies are shaping up! :) VERY tiny, tinier than my hatchery millie's. They stand proud, he has no wattles at 3 mo.s, And they are pretty well fluffed, though they are just now getting their adult feathers :)
Just for size comparison:

The booted bantam foster mom is bigger than they are, and this EE hen is the size of a pullet..............
