D'uccle Thread

I think so too

Do you see a lot of whites in your neck of the woods? Of course our Canadian challenge is getting good stuff from our southern neighbours, or we make it ourselves. it doesn't seem like a common color anywhere...I would speculate there are very few up here...

For those who have gotten blue Mille's from me, I'm waiting for pictures please. My rooster molted out and is absolutely gorgeous and to think I was going to sell him, I should have entered him AVO at Ohio Nationals. I may just go to the Dixie Classic's and enter him.

HacklePineAcres, those look great! congrats.

It looks like i need to get a splash to get some more color variety. How do you get the splash coloration?

Here are some recent pics of my babies from this year. None of them is perfect, but they are kind of neat in their own way and are very friendly.

I have 2 girls like the first guy. I think those came from a Mottled girl that had a Mille father. I think they are cute as a button

I got my splash from Lori Martin. I then hatched out some. I have a few left that I will be selling at Ohio Nationals.

Oh pretty! I wonder what we will get if we breed them back to other colors like black mottleds or Porcelains....I guess I will have to wait and see......I wish I could go to Nationals, but with a relatively new baby it's not happening this year, maybe next year though!

I only see them at the shows. I would buy but I don't need a new variety

Hi. I recently bought a mille fleur d'uccle (please excuse my spelling mistakes lol). She is sweet, likes to sit on my shoulder. She has a very nice tail (when spanned out). Not exactly sure how good her wings look, because she wont let me stretch them out. As far as I can tell she looks good. I was debating showing her, im still not sure (I show other breeds and wouldnt mind having a few more odds and ends to show). I dont have any pics of her now, But I can post some in a few days.

Tell me again that my little D'uccle will be fine when the temps drop below freezing tonight. She's in a open coop with closed roof, back and half of both sides. She shares this with 7 other bantam and two Large fowel chickens. She and 6 bantam sleep piled up in a 12x12 nestbox. She is so much smaller than the rest I worry about her and a frizzle silkie.
