Everyone;s D'uccles are so beautiful! The black mottled are so dramatic, though I admit, my heart still belongs to the mille fleur. What a captivating breed. Thank you all for sharing pictures of your darling birds!

Are D'uccle roos loud crowers? I'd imagine not, at their size? It's hard to judge from a YouTube video. Such handsome boys!

Mine are real loud but keep their crowing to a minumal.

I have a 9 week old roo and pullet that are a color I have not ever seen before. Not quite grey, not quite cream, not quite white...but in between all of them. The color doesn't show in pictures. Any ideas? I have a lavender hen whom I am assuming is the mom. Roo's could be Millie or Golden Neck.

My d'Uccle boys have always been the loudest, high-pitch, obnoxious little buggers out of all my roosters.

Loud, obnoxious crowers? Eeek. Maybe we'll only keep a hen, then. The roos look so very dear. Oh, well. I'm accustomed to our ancient OEG bantam mix roo, not really loud, and crows seldom. The fun part with a D'uccle roo is he might be hand-tame, as I would be getting them as day old chicks and raising them (with gentle, regular handling) in the enclosed front porch room until old enough to transition outdoors.

Mine are also very loud. I have 4 breeding pens and they take turns.
