Okay breeders. I'm looking for gold necks based on Dom white, NOT the blue gene. (Can't have that mixing with my dun.) Who has Dom White Gold Necks? I'm interested in chicks, not eggs, but will consider eggs. I will also except a Rooster. For trade or buy. I have Serama roos, Fawn/silver duckwing OEGB.

I recently lost my pretty cream colored pullet to Mareks she was so pretty and had gorgeous foot feathers. Even though they got messy and some broken, she was beautiful.

I got my first egg though from my mille - she's 9 months old and laid her first egg Sunday and I've gotten 4.

What is their average to lay? I'm not really wanting eggs and I'm not hatching any chicks because of the Mareks but I'll find someone to take them.

I heard chicken squaking a little bit ago and knew enough from reading that it was probably her after laying so I went out and sure enough, there was a nice warm egg!

My silkie pullet will be next. I need more pullets because I have a d'uccle cockerel and a silkie cockerel and only 2 girls. All of my girls I had have been lost to stupid Mareks. Breaks my heart.

Snebbles, any birds you get/ hatch will need to be vacc. for mereks before you can bring them home. Unfortunately those survivors will only give it to the new ones. So sad, i am sorry you lost your girls.

It's too hard to tell blue from dun.When I finally get my birds up to SQ, I want to be able to say this is def dun. (Even if dun isn't recognized.) Just like I want to be able to tell if my bird is lemon/dun, compared to the similiar lavender colored d'uccle.

Fuzzy - I know it's awful. It makes things hard for me. Hard to find birds and I'd love to hatch a few but I'm afraid because I've had sick birds in my house.

My bantam respond to car alarms... Funniest thing to see. Up the road a alarm went off. Everyone in bantam house (mostly d'Uccle and Silkie) took off and went in their coop like eagle was flying over. If I could only get a alarm that went off for chicken danger.

I only have mine set up in pairs at the moment or I would have eggs. Trying to see what my top birds will throw together. I will be putting together more here in a week or so. What varieties are you looking for?

Black & Blue mottled. Maybe some Millie Fluer. Almost everyone around here shows Porcelin and Millie so I wanted a color not everyone has. I've never seen any mottleds at a show.
