D'uccle Thread

Looks like you have luck like mine-more boys than girls:) They do grow fast. For anyone struggling with attitudes from cockerels or roos- take your duccles OUT of the cages or low, small coops! Try putting them in a regular sized, regular height coop and see what happens. Not only are chickens like dogs- they sense your anxiety when you just know that boy over there is going to attack. I was more confident stepping into the regular coop therefore after the first stand off (of course there has to be a time or two) none of the boys come after me. That is a HUGE change from having to fight just to feex them or give more water. IF there was an egg? Well, sometimes it wasn't worth the fight! Lol. Now I can stoop down to the nest box without being attacked. Lesson learned: bantam doesn't always mean half the space. Regular size coop=happier me and happier bantams.

Here are two of my pretty pullets, what color are they called? is this Lemon Blue?
Should I use a Porcelain or a MF roo on them?
Thanks

They stick together like glue! I just love them, they are so curious. And they also are very small birds, just darlings!

Very pretty!!! As for the roo, it depends on what colour you want the chicks to be but i'd use the porcelain

This is Noodles, my only Mille Fleur D'Uccle. S(he) is around 5 weeks of age. I sure hope (s)he is a pullet!
