D'uccle Thread

So, updating my post from a LONG time ago; here are updated pics of my "D'Uccle Bantams" as they were told by the gender/breed board...

do you all agree still? I was also told that #1 is a pullet and #2 looked like a Roo...I know somewhere in these pages upon PAGES of posts about these awesome birds; that there is someone who must have said how to check on if they were pullets/roos...

however; without reading all these pages (almost impossible w/the kiddos), can anyone tell me here?

TIA and I truly do appreciate it...

I also think yours are pullets.

I have one that has an "in-between" looking comb. I sent pics to a breeder who shows and she confirmed that it is a Cockerel. The one in front is the questionable one (the one behind I was sure is a cockerel - Actually everyone in that picture EXCEPT the Silver duck wing are cockerels. :-/):

Darn. i have one too, and i was really hoping that one at least was a girl! Did the breeder say if a smaller comb is a good thing?

I have a porcelain D'uccle, I'm not really sure how old she is but she just started laying. I got her around February and I don't know if this is her first time laying or if she was just still adjusting to her new surroundings.

I'm going to show her in a couple weeks at my local fair. I was wondering if you guys think she has a shot or if she is not breed standard. I had to wash her a couple weeks ago and wasn't able to get all the soap out of her beard apparently so when i blow dried her her beard got stuck together in parts. Also she was attacked by my other standard chickens so she is missing some points on her comb. She is now separate from them because they really hate her....a lot....Anyways, here's some pictures of her.

And here's a picture of my mille fleur, it's about 8 weeks old now. Does it look like a girl or boy?
