Okay I've been looking at standards, can someone explain this
Back: Brilliant greenish black, one feather in four ending in a small V-shaped white tip.
It would be the part that states "one feather in four"

Ah, that means that out of every four feathers in a group, one should have the white.

Lorilyn... thank you for clarifying colors... does anyone have pictures of day old gold neck or mille's? I think the black and white are pretty self explanatory. Although one does have a white beak and one has a dark beak... do they change colors as they grow also? The one with the light beak has one light colored toe also.
Can you wing sex them?

Okay I'm trying to decide who to take to Nationals, help me out..How about this one. She should be a year now, so she would be considered a hen, right!! So what do you think about her

Heh, I know, right? You only have to use it to see if overall you have the right balance of white spots though, so I guess look at random sections of the body. Please, someone correct me if I'm wrong!

Thanks for the answers she is one of the girls I will be taking, so far it is her, the Blue Mottled hen and Black Moltted Roo. Out of the pullets it will be Midge, and the 2 young Mille's

Here is a picture of my D'Uccle/Silkie Mix. She has the cutest little head bump!







And this is my favorite Golden Neck Boy, McFly. I think his comb may be too small for breeding show quality birds....but he has such a personality! Follows me wherever I go and loves to be picked up and scratched.
