I have serama and d'uccle. In reading your post, do not get serama. Much of what is in your post about serama is untrue, but there is one issue that eliminates serama. I find them unsuited for life with other breeds and I keep mine separate in their own coop. They just can't stand up to bigger, more aggressive breeds. D'uccles fit all your criteria well. They are a unique, wonderful breed. I will say that serama will always be my favorite and if you do get serama some day, do so with the idea that they will be kept separate from aggression.

I do keep chicks and youngsters of other breeds with my gentle serama.

I love my Seramas but I have heard they can struggle with the cold, and that they might not get on with larger breeds who'd peck at them, even though I think mine would have enough attitude to put a larger bird in their place. Though I'd still keep them seperate for their safety, little dog syndrome and all.

I have also since brought two pullets to keep Dolly from getting overwhelmed, Betty and Boo.

Nice! I had serama for years. My favorites. As to cold, when acclimated they can take temperatures down in the 30s F and lower for the short term. In cold climates they have to have supplemental heat.

I would totally recommend D'Uccles, I have two D'Uccle Roosters and their the best but their like the two amigos, Never leave eachothers side, Share the ladies and in the 2 Years I've kept them I've never seen them fight, Only squabble over food a little bit and flare at eachother, Never a full fledge fight, And their fertility is really good, All of my eggs have been fertile for over a month!, So I'm on a roll with D'Uccles, But if you can't decide on the two breeds, D'Anvers are also good, Good luck on the birds!
