Wow! There's still damage from Sandy? We didn't get it up here since there is no ocean, but we got some thunderstorms... I heard it was pretty bad!

It was very bad. the worst storm since the 80s I've heard, and that hurricane didn't even come close to Sandy. There is still TONS of damage! It's been 5 months and it looks like workers have done absolutely NOTHING to clean up people's houses. The only thing that they've done is clean the sand off of the roads and repair the boardwalks so the tourists can come this summer. It's so pathetic...
 
Oh yes, we were out of power for about a week, but a lot of people were out longer. No heat, cell service, lighting, or Internet connection. We had no idea what was happening while the rest of the world was watching it from their televisions. It was very frightening, especially when a random tree would fall down, or an electrical transformer would blow up and turn the night sky bright green. Luckily, my house didnt get flooded or damaged, but many were not so fortunate...My grandma had a generator, so we would go to her house at night to eat dinner since she only lives a few minutes away. We were swimming in the streets for about a week... My poor chickens had to stay outside during this, but they were alright. I did get nervous when their coop would start to creak though...

Guys, I'm pretty sure my old dog is dying. He's very sluggish and all he wants to do is cuddle with me. I brought my laptop here out to the field where I am now, because this is his favorite spot to lay down. My dad is jammed up at his bike repair shop and my mom is at the vet's office, operating on a Great Pyrenees that has something wrong with its liver. I've tried calling both of them ten times, each time no answer. The other vet at my mom's work is also busy operating. I need help, and I need help fast. I know this si a chicken website, but I'm sure someone hear can help me... please!

Oh, i'm so sorry! I don't have a clue whats going on with your dog but i'm pretty sure someone will help you!
