Sorry I stopped posting last night. I fell asleep... Lol! I can't quote posts on my iPod, but somebody asked what breeds of chickens everyone has.

I have 8 Rhode Island Reds (two are roosters) 2 New Hampshire Reds
3 Buff Orpingtons
and 2 buff Orpington/rhode island red hens

I'm getting 10 chicks in May. Hopefully they all turn out to be pullets like I ordered. I'll be getting
2 Golden Campines
2 Buff Orpingtons
2 White Leghorns
2 Black Australorps
and 2 Easter Eggers

Good selection, I'm guessing they're for eggs?

I don't raise chickens for eggs, but half of the ones I currently have were my grandfathers, and he raised chickens for eggs. He didn't take very good care of them. He had 40 chickens in a coop big enough for 15 chickens, and they all had almost no feathers because they all got bored and picked on each other. So when he moved to the city I took in his chickens so I could give them a better life. The hens that I have that were his are now almost 5 years old. Which is why I'm getting more chicks in the Spring.

I picked out the breeds that I did because I want some Blue and white eggs, because we only get brown. I also picked the Golden Campines and the Easter Eggers because they are really pretty :D

What breeds of chickens do you have?

Is your avatar a picture that you took, or is it from the Internet?? It's really cool!

Wow! Nice job taking such a cute picture! I have a hard time getting really nice pictures of my chickens. My camera doesn't have the greatest quality, because it's old. It also takes a long time to take the picture, so I can't just take a bunch of pictures and hope one turns out nice. I have to click it and then wait 3 seconds for the picture to take and hope my chickens hold still. Lol!

Thanks! I just got a new camera for Christmas, it's a canon power shot, with a 16x zoom lens!
