I know, I know! Pictures dont do them justice, do they? I'll have to work on the DH for this one. We'll see what happens after the first of the year....unless something unexpected happens sooner.
This is my fave pic of her, when I would call her name, she would come runnin as fast as she could just for cuddles.
Now that she is a lil older she is more skittish, but she is right around laying age, I am hoping she regains her "run to me" stage when she settles down from her teen angst.
And right after I gave her a bath and blowdry, she was soooo proud of herself...all clean and purtee... lol
Tori, I'll need some of those for new blood in mine this Spring! I didn't keep my two beautiful and wonderful roo's this Fall, had to downsize for winter and my main banty roo is a wonderful guy so it wasn't time to replace him but now I've got plans for a second and younger flock w/roo if I can get one out of your stock this Spring...
Here's a pic of my two I couldn't keep, Cinnamon is the darker one and Curry is the lighter one.
They were very nice boys, full of character and companionable to humans and birds, alike. I had them in the backyard neighbor's coop/pen and every day they heard me talking in the yard, they'd crow to me and I'd yell: "Hi Cinnamon! Hi Curry!" And they'd fly/run to greet me when I'd go to their pen. I brought the girls home when the neighbors decided to downsize and only keep their RIR pullets thru winter, they're afraid of the economy and what we'll have to do to survive. I'm holding out w/my birds as long as possible...
