Duck acting odd possible trauma or infection green poop

Right that’s really good point. If it’s okay I’ll post clips to get opinions if she seems okay I don’t know what to look for because she’s loud when I go out and today I brought her in house because it’s snowing 10 inches today i don’t want to just leave her out there sitting next to turkey pen and I don’t want to put her in there because that’s only thing I did different is put them in there few weeks ago instead of free ranging due to snow on ground and some coyotes on trail cam nearby. I’m afraid it’s something in their pen that killed her friend. I need to figure out a routine to keep her safe and happy the snow is not helping the ducks have a small run attached to shed converted to barn but snow is all in there ice won’t allow trap door to open and I can’t even lift their food house up(we made a small wood box to prevent goats from getting to their food). I figured if I come up with set routine maybe in a week she’ll get used to it and not quack a lot she is actually the one that always hated her diaper so she could be quacking a bit cuz she did that before even with her friend next to her. If I get desperate I’ll just drive across state or something if I have to to find a single duck until I hatch. I work from home so once we hatch I’ll have plenty of time to supervise meetings and play by ear how she’s acting. I won’t be able to put them outside altogether anyway until at least 2 months. She was the duck that was very Brody always laying in her eggs so that maybe good sign when little ones come along. Thanks for your advice

I hope you are feeling better today, too.

I had a necropsy done on my duck that showed the cause of death was egg yolk perontitis. A necropsy is a great way to find out the cause of death.

My duck wasn't showing the classic symptoms of egg yolk perontitis, and had come back with a positive avian malaria test so the vet thought she had that. Unfortunately anorexia is a symptom of many illnesses.
So thank you for suggesting necropsy. I drove her there yesterday and within hours had a preliminary findings call. So she had a sharp piece of 1.5 cm metal that perforated her gizzard. There was abscess there. Fluid in stomach that led to most likely congestive heart failure. More tests are being done. I immediately bought a rolling magnet that she suggested I can’t believe owning ducks for 6 years now I never knew this existed. Thanks again we feel as better as we could be that it wasn’t just some infection and our waiting until last resort to tube feed killed her I thought we just starved her by not tube feeding until last minute or something

Knowing the cause can bring a lot of peace, I'm glad it did for you and that there aren't any contagious illnesses you need to worry about.

Thanks agreed I was being so crazy and paranoid with my other duck!! I’m still nervous until I get that magnet but definitely not afraid that my other one would be following such relief

I'm with @SolarDuck on this one. The time it take to hatch a duckling and let it get old enough to introduce to an adult is a long time for a duck to be alone.

Of course it is your choice.
So update if either of you see this set up incubator today 7 eggs. And webby has been wonderful we have a routine and she hangs in turkey pen during day and sleeps with goats at night. She has clung to me more -luckily I work at home and am with her a lot -she really lets me pick her up more and is not as vocal. She does her duck dance A LOT lol

Thanks for the update! I'm so happy Webby seems ok! Each duck is an individual, and here is some more proof of that.

Good luck with your incubating eggs, I hope you post photos when they hatch!
