Duck acting odd

My male duck is acting odd laying alot eating and drinking but laying to do both. Rear is hanging low makes movements as if to poop but doesn't poop. Him and his brother have had same enclosed area with coop pool and grazing area. Any one have advice. Also he seems a bit disheveled. Thank you

That's about the average life span for heavy breeds although Muscovy get a little older. For heavy breeds, the legs are usually the first thing to give out in old age.

My boys are Khaki Campbell's they do not lay. I have no females

He can walk just doesn't often noticed this morning wings not tucked

Can you get a video so we can see how he's walking and how he looks.


Also more info what does he eat including treats.
As ducks get older just like us they may get less nutrients from what they are eating and may need to be supplemented with some vitamins. Poultry Nutri drench
is a good one but there are others out there also.

Does him and his brother get along well. Brother isn't trying to breed him?

No he's usually the aggressive one. I will try to get video. He eats duck food, peas as a sometimes snack, rice , lettuce as a sometimes snack. Whatever they forage in their space

A video would really help. And you might want to get a weight on him so you can keep track just in case. I have ducks (Muscovy that are 14 ,10 and 9 years ] I sprinkly Nutritional yeast over their feed a couple times a week. Just to give them a boost.

Also when did he molt last?

They melted earlier this spring will usually molt again toward fall or if the heat keeps up here.
