Hi! So today I took the flashlight on my phone and placed in right up on the clear plastic of the incubator. And I could see that 12 of the 14 call eggs i set were starting to develope! should I still take the eggs out and candle, or should I just keep candleing through the plastic?
I candle through the bator with a very bright flashlight. As they get further along, you may need to upgrade your light.

But yes - if it works, roll with it! 😁

She's 10 and I don't want her to be ridiculously fearful like her mom, so I encourage her to handle creatures that aren't dangerous if she's interested. She is very good about thorough hand washing as soon as she is finished handling anything. This is her the night before Tiika nipped her. I believe this is a worm snake. Of course I figured out what it was before I allowed her to hold it and she knows better than just picking something up.
I just meant putting a turtle in your mouth. lol Or your hands after handling said turtle. you should explain it to the imposter acorn so she stops biting. You don't want to eat her.
That is so cool that you worked in a pet store. I bet you saw all kinds of ridiculous and sometimes hilarious things (and probably some really sad stuff too)! I'm sure you have some stories to tell! If you ever decide to make a post to share the best and most interesting stories, PLEASE tag me 😁
OMG I'm sure Mre and I could both write a book about the people that come into pet stores.
Have any of you dealt with chronic soft eggs from your ducks? Honey Boo Boo
Have you tried renaming her? lol JK, all kidding aside, I'd try the liquid calcium. If you don't want to give it to her by hand/orally, but there's a treat she likes, you might add it to the feed. Have you tried offering eggshells?

I'm fairly certain my phone couldn't do that.

I can't believe you people can candle without opening the incubator?

Also, I took these, just for the addicts and @duluthralphie.
