Also, my Saxony seem to be the guard ducks of the flock. They always will alert the other ducks of danger or annoyance, or human approaching. They have followed a cat till it left the property, quacking all the way.

Well now I'm kinda relieved. I had heard from multiple Saxony owners that they can be rotten and they can have a huge tude. Mine seem super inquisitive and chitchatty so far.

Ugh! Went to put the ducks away for the night and collected all the eggs. I put them in the pocket of my brand new coat. I totally forgot about them and went on to doing the rest of my nightly animal chores. I bent over to get my stubborn rabbit and heard a large crunch!
Oh shoot! There went the eggs!

I’m currently cleaning out my pockets…

I haven't noticed them be any more of a bully than other breeds. They tend to be my most social ducks. However, one of my new Saxony females thinks she is a Muscovy. Charges at my other ducks like my Muscovy do. My Muscovy are not amused by it.

Bummer. A brand new coat. Why is it that new clothes always attract trouble? If it was a crappy coat, somehow that wouldn't happen.

So, today I let the ducklings swim in a kiddie pool while it was super hot. They didn't dabble one bit, they dove through the water like torpedos. They stayed under and then came back to float on the top

What's wrong with them. My other ducklings splash and bath but theses guys were like sharks!

My last ones did that too. It is pretty cool to watch them under the water. I had to be careful to stay out of the splash zone. That dive can create quite the tidal wave.

Exactly, I’ve never done that before! I was just about to leave but figured I’d put the ducks in and collect the eggs first. Bad idea! I hadn’t even worn it out of the house yet.
Good thing egg yolk washes!
