Anyone care to meet my ducks? Most of BYC has already heard or seen quite a bit of Fran (duck hen) and Fabio (drake). I got these two in Mid-late February of this year, and they’re wonderful! You can’t ask for anything better than a duck.
My beautiful Fran started laying this month, and lays an egg every single day. She hasn’t skipped a day yet! Fabio spends his time preening Fran and snuggling up to her, they’re partners for sure. They get to free range all day everyday until 4:30pm-ish. They love their kiddy pool more than anything. I got these two at a Poultry Auction type thing, I had no clue what they were, all I knew was I had a hen and a drake. With the help of my BYC peeps, we’ve concluded that they are Khaki Campbell mixes. Lovely birds, for sure.
Now we can meet the ducks!
Fabio is the non-crested drake, and Fran is the crested hen. They’re a joy for sure. (some of these are from when I first got them, they have since moved to a larger area with a much bigger, deeper waterer).

You sure have that right - you can't ask for anything better than a duck! ducks!
