Duck Advice - rehome?

:smack for the family that dumped Fred. I'm so glad you were able to take him in!
My aunt lives with my grandfather part time and her boyfriend was there when the boy who owned him came back asking and he got an earful let me tell you!

After my aunts bf was done telling him off he said if the boy could catch Fred he could have him back (fully knowing he wouldn't be able to, my father had tried by himself a few times) the kid gave up and left again.

It took me and my dad a few hours ourselves, Fred is a fast bugger and since he'd stayed in my grandfathers yard for a few weeks he had the lay of the land quite well by then. We were covered in scratches from the brambles and bushes and sweating like pigs!

Fred is a very friendly duck, loves following us around and talking. He likes being picked up. We decided after talking to that farm that he wasn't going to get the attention and love he was used to and needs.

I'm happy because although at first I thought it would be better for him he's happiest here, we just need to find him a friend.

:love He even looks like he's full of personality.

 I'm glad he got an earful from your aunt's bf!! I've been through what I'm sure have been similar chases myself. Always an adventure!
