Duck and geese house

This is the house your using now for your ducks?
theres two the same size but the other is made of pallet wood and is uuuggglllyy. But they prefer the ugly one and even if the new one is open and the old is closed they wait infront of the old one for me to open it:he

@Jpat - it amazes me how you just go into a workshop and POOF something wonderful is made so quickly!
You mean whenever anybody goes in a work shop?

Building things yourself is so satisfieing
My dads a cabinet maker and he makes a fool out of me in a workshop haha Tobad hes half a province away

Is their water in the duck house?

Where in this world are you located?
Climate is almost always a factor.

It's easy to do, (laptop version shown), then it's always there!

I do have water in the house for them but not that much. I do that because they tend to lay in the house and when it gets late they go into there house and I close it up for the night because of predators.

It's tough to decide what's best for your group. I've tried many things and ended up with removing food and water from my duck coop. They just make a mess beyond anything I've ever seen and I can't see a reason to keep it in there if there is no food.
When I let them out into their huge pond/field/wetland area during the day, there is always food and plenty of water from either a seasonal creek in winter or a sunken pond in summer.
I always close my ducks in at night (I have 10 in an 8 x 16 hoop coop) that has a wire top during summer and a tarp during winter. The tarp is merely so I can gather that garden gold come early spring.
I am wanting to add a couple geese in spring so I'm interested to see what other folks have to say about housing for the combo.

If possible could you show me a picture of your coop? My geese tend to not bother the ducks and got along with them pretty well. When I had introduced new ducks to them they didn't take to kindly to that, but now they are used to each other. I do recommend having geese.
