Duck ate a bunch of shavings!!?

Hello, I just got down to my duck house and it seems like my drake ate a bunch of his pine shaving bedding. His neck and crop appear to be “full” and he looks like he keeps trying to swallow.
I have given him a dish of water to try and get him to drink. What is the best thing for me to do? Should I try and get him to regurgitate them?
Please help as soon as you can. He is a really sweet guy and I don’t want anything to happen to him

Update, he drank a few sips of water and is already looking much better. I put a big bowl of water in with him for the night and he seems super thirsty now (drinking) which he wasn’t before.
We just had new mulch put in around our trees and my dad thinks that might have been what he ate.
Also I forgot to mention before that he was already in his house when I came down and that is why I assumed it was shavings.
Sorry, I sort of freaked out. If there is anything else that I could/need to do then I would appreciate any advice.

I just checked on him again and it appears to be about an 1/8 to a 1/4 cup of material. Looks a little better but still “swallowing”.

No, it feels grainy, like it has grain in it, but it is definitely not because I didn’t feed them tonight.
Edit: It just showed up tonight and he was completely normal this morning.

I would wait for @Jenbirdee to reply but Check every few hours. It should gradually empty, especially overnight. If it becomes firm, distended, or doesn’t empty by morning, that’s a red flag for impaction.also make sure he stays hydrated!

Do not try to make him throw up.
You can give little chunks of coconut oil . If you refrigerate coconut oil, it gets solid and you can break it into a little chunks. You can put a couple one at a time into his Bill
