Duck ate a cicada- will it hurt her??

Hi. I was cleaning out all of my chicken/duck coops and while I was cleaning out a coop, I looked over to the duck pen and the ducks were going crazy! A cicada was flying all around their pen and they were all chasing it (even my broody). Finally, my small call duck caught it and ate it. It took her a few gulps and it was gone. Will the cicada hurt her??

I don't think so. I have seen wild birds eat them.

True, you never know exactly, but I have not heard of a problem. If anyone knows otherwise I would hope they check in soon.

Hey, just wanted to let you know that our chickens, ducks, and guineas have all been eating locust for years. My mamas even catch them and feed them to their chicks.
