Im raising some ducks rn and they peck alot! But if a habit starts ther pecks won't hurt right? Have any of you Ben attacked by ducks? How server where the wounds? Should u try and stop this habbit?

My girls never ever bite at me
But my one drake likes to bite me at times especially my toes with sandals on
He has got me a few times on my arm when putting the water dish down and yes it hurts and leaves a bruise
There are several Methods others use to stop it
The more I try to be aggressive with mine like to pin him down or spray him he gets even more angry but if I pick him up to cuddle he stops and chills out
This only happens at mate time
I have also realized when I pick up the blue pool noodle he runs away even though I have never done anything but guide them in the house at bed time with it
So my thought is he really doesn’t want to be put in lol
Now I will carry a smaller piece in my pocket in case and if he goes for my toes I pull it out and he stops
But when they were little they would all chew our hair or clothes
They like to explore and babies will put everything and anything in their mouths
I never worried about it as a bad habit and as adults only the king drake will act out now and then the other 7 have never bit me
