Hi last week my ducks were attacked by a raccoon and sadly only one out of four survived. Fankie my female had her eye ripped out and most of skin off her head is gone, poor thing but I don't think she can see it of her other eye now either. She is under vet care but I'm Not sure how she is going to make it being blind.... any suggestions? Thank you. Beware photos are bad. SHE DOES EAT AND SWIM GOOD! ANY HOPE?

Hi there, a few years ago we got a predator in our henhouse. Some birds were killed one drake was badly injured with his bill almost ripped off and many lacerations. He looked soooo bad, swollen face and head and ultimately got a lot of scar tissue on one eye lid so he just has sight in his other eye. This bird and I became so close because I nursed him back to health. Now years later, he still follows me around. Don't give up. You have gotten the advice of your vet, now give him time. Good luck, Melinda Rhodes

Ps, you didn't say why she lost her sight in the other eye? Bill lost his sight for a while ~ maybe a week or 10 days from swelling but that went down and he does have one good eye. All is well. M

She acts like she can't see out of it at all but there is no damage on that side so my vet wasn't sure if something was torn from other side.
