Duck beak purple dot

I do not have a picture, but I can get one if needed. I noticed for a while now that my duck randomly developed a purple dot on his beak. I didn't really think it was anything and that it would go away. It is still there is hasnt grown and its only in one spot. I was wondering if anyone knows what is going on and if it is serious.

I seen a similar post and googled some more it never spread so it like a bruise still keeping an eye on it

Hi! I have a duckling with a spot just like you described. It looks like a bruise on the bill and it appeared overnight. What ever happened to your duckling?
