Duck Bedding reccomendations?

I just bought cypress blend mulch and I was wondering if that could be used as duck bedding. If not, what is a good bedding to use for ducks? The ducks are a month old right now.

I use Pine shavings fore mine...i don't know about mulch..doesn't seem like it'd be too comfortable

I don't know what's in that mulch - sometimes dyes or other materials are added to mulches.

Seems to me the pine shavings I get for a few bucks at the feed store work very well.

I have also used straw, but the quality is variable.

Yes, i'd watch for treatments of chemicals with mulches. Best? shavings and wood pellet bedding that is what i have my calls on right now... it's excellent, low odour, use less and comfy for them lol

I am also about to experiment with a new product called flax bedding lol but i haven't opened it yet.

I never heard of anyone using mulch before. I use oak wood shavings I get from a local wood shop 55 gallon bag for 3 bucks.

Yep, just switched from straw to sand a few days ago. So far so good.
Trouble with straw is that it gets so dirty so fast.

What kind of sand? I am curious about this. Is it like cat litter then? Just scoop the clumps out?
