Duck behaving differently

Have 3 female ducks, left them locked in their run for 4 days they usually free range but was out of town. They had water and food, not the 1st time I have left them. My runner all of a sudden doesn't want to leave the coop with the other 2 to free range, she is just sitting in her coop on eggs? Should I be worried? Will ducks all of a sudden become broody even without a Male? They are about a year and half old

The broody state is hormonal and has zero to do with having fertile eggs.....or even eggs at all.

If they are not viable/fertile eggs it may be best to try and break her broodiness. I don't know how to do that with ducks but I am sure others do.

My goose will go broody every spring, if I let her and she has no mate.
I have a new male duck and that has inspired her to lay eggs late into July!!!!
