My poor new call hen has no drake guy in her life! The drake I bought her with always chases her and not in a good way. I was hoping them two being caged together would be a good bonding experience, but that did not happen.
My other drake doesn't like her either, only she has to be closer to him to get chased away. Go figure. She now free ranges with the gang so can escape easily.
She gets along with the girls real well, and I LOVE her, so I guess it doesn't matter. Just venting a bit.

I now have 4 calls gone broody on me, 3 of them outside somewhere!

My call duck hen is laying and setting on eggs under a stump in the run every day. She comes in every night for food, water and sleep, but immediately gets back on the nest in the morning once the door is open. Would you call her officially incubating (and still leave the nest at night) or is she still growing your clutch? I don't remember seeing this before but it has been many years since I have had ducks and my chickens don't do this.

Thank you Aves
