My gander finally picked up what my insane mallard drake Pancake has been throwing down all year. The last straw for the gander was when he stuck his beak through the fence to defend Pancake against my runners who were chasing him away from dinner and Pancake bit him on the beak making it bleed. The family is broken. It is war.
Anyway the gander broke right through the fence and Pancake lost feathers, pride, and his beak is a bit swollen and bruised but otherwise uninjured. I’ve upgraded the fence! Anyway I’ve brought the Pancake in because we have bad weather and his new bald spot is preventing him from staying dry or warm. He loves it.

Why is he twitching his wings like this? He’s not too hot. He’s not injured. Is it emotional?
