duck breathing through mouth and quack is high pitched

I don’t know if you’ve done it but check out their bedding and coop for mold. Mold can cause them to breathe in the spores so hopefully the new med will take care of it if fungal. My goose house stays dry bedding is dry and I even painted the inside walls to protect against mold etc but by end of summer I have to pull the bedding away from the wall and spray bleach on a couple walls. I think it’s the humidity that causes the wall to get something blk on it. I spray after Mid sept when humidity is finally dropped down and it’s a nice sunny day so all fumes are gone by the time they go In for bed.

Hi KaleIAm - Chips is doing so much better! We did get the new medicine for fungal infection, but we've given her a couple days off and she's breathing great and seems wonderful...not sure if we should do the new meds or not. I think we will - as a just in case thing - but it's so great to see her eating, quacking and looking like a "normal" duck!

And, Fish is laying an egg a day! It's crazy...we aren't going to eat her's for a few more weeks since there is a chance she got one of Chips' pills one day...

Ann has assimilated well - the girls all get along well!
