I only have 2 pekins & I am wanting to get some more in the spring.
but I was wandering what breeds you peeps like so I have some clue of what & ware to buy.
Rouens mix nicely with pekins! lol.

I also have two swedish mix girls LOL
CAYUGAS! They mix great together and make pretty babies
I think everyone needs a couple runners

production bred Rouens. missred871 are the hens rouens as well or are they golden 300 hybrid? i think they are a neat looking with the lighter/white colored bib.

I actually have a swedishXrouen, she is in the picture, the one with the smaller bib (obviously the black duck) and my pekin mated her, theie babies came out rouen LOL. So that is why they have so much white on them and I think it makes them much prettier, but they are all rouen crosses lol
Another male we had, he has been sold
The hatch we had, well, we had two drakes, one was a swedish runner mix and the other was our pekin CLYDE haha so they pretty well had the girls taken...
The yellow ones and the one that looks like a mallardish baby are the rouens now
I have gotten rid of all the swedish except the two in the picture in the original post. One carries the rouen gene and the other makes magpie colored babies when she is mated to my pekin, I cant wait to hatch out some more of my eggs now that I have gotten rid of all the dominant dark genes. I have a few eggs due in the next couple of days.
