Cresting is a dominant gene, so yes, about half of the offspring would be crested. As with all crested ducks, they will be at risk of having neurological issues due to the cresting.

Yes, and it is lethal when homozygous. Therefore, your crested duck carries one dominant crested allele, and one recessive regular allele.
Yes, it's quite sad to breed two together.But my beutiful crested named duckie is only breeding with his 4 non-crested hens.
