I saw my ducks breeding today and was wonder how long after it will take her to lay eggs i thought it was kinda early for them to breed in Febuary. I was also wondering what do to feed them during breeding season also.

I don't know what kind of ducks you have or how old they are, but our ducks have all started to lay at about 6 months of age. (Runners, Khaki Campbells and Swedish) I haven't seen them breeding this winter and the eggs I've recently cracked open weren't fertile.

So I don't think I answered your question but, then again maybe I did?
ETA: Forgot to add once old enough to lay eggs we feed a layer feed. This way the girls get the calcium they need.

I feed the same thing I feed all the time..my ducks have been laying fairly frequently...well the big ones have been...the calls aren't old enough...if they are breeding then the eggs should be fertile

Our female Swedish is about 7 months old, and she began laying a week ago. She and her mate (a big pekin) started attempting to do the deed about a month ago .... but they looked pretty clumsy, like they weren't really accomplishing anything, if you know what I mean!!! Now, they seem to have figured it all out, though.
