What are your favorite duck breeds that are a little more common? Is getting just 2 ducks okay? Thanx

My favorite are runners followed by pekins.

Yes, 2 is ok, but if you are getting 2, be aware that if you lose one, the remaining one will likely be very lonely, so if you can, 3 might not be a bad idea.

I'm looking for really good foraging type ducks, and ones that could get away from cyotes since we have lots of those around my house. Also, since they're going to be free range, I'm keeping them in a big circular dog house that has a door that can swing, or I can lock it. It's 4 square feet, so I don't think I have enough room for 3, do I? Thanks!!
