Can I put 8-9 unfertilized chicken eggs with like 3 or 4 fertilized duck eggs so that the duck incubates only 3 or 4 ducklings?

I'd say 13 eggs at most, and if she can cover all of them good enough go for it. Since you're setting them under her you can always take some out if they don't fit. Where are you planning on putting the chicks?

Why would you want to do that? The chicks will hatch a week before the ducklings and the mother may then leave the nest.

I was saying unfertilized chicken eggs so the chickens wouldn't hatch just the ducks

I just realized you said this, sorry. If you're trying to make it so that mama will only lay/sit on a certain amount, I would use something else. After 28 days of sitting on an unfertilized egg in a warm moist place can cause bacteria to get in and the eggs could even explode.

Do you know what I could use instead because I just want a couple of ducks and not over 12?
