New young ducklings have now grown enough to let them out of their fences area. The older male duck that has been on the property for a few years goes after them when they are out and pecks them to the point of injury. Now they are afraid to leave the pen. We're at a loss at what to do.

How old are the younger ducklings?

Not all drakes are super accepting. Some will try and mate young females before they are sexually mature. It sounds like your drake may be this way and I would keep them separate from the drake till they are full grown, 20 weeks of age.

Also you need to slowly introduce ducks. I usually keep my ducks separated with fencing where they can see each other but not touch. I do this for at least a week before they share the area. Then, I will keep them separate in the coop but allow them to share the run area together. I do this for another week. It can take longer depending on your ducks response.
