duck color genetics

My long lost mallard hen showed back up with a string of ducklings.
We have mallards, buffs and anconas. She has several mallard looking ducklings, two buff with slight mallard pattern and two mostly black with yellow bibs and random yellow spots.
Seems easy enough to figure out who fathered who but would the mallard looking ones be pure mallards or could some of them been from buffs or anconas and only showing the mallard pattern?

To be on the safe side, I would go with assuming they're all mixes... mallard pattern is 'wild type' so yes, it can show instead of buff or ancona in a mix...

Ya i was kinda assuming at least some could be but i thought maybe someone on here knew duck color/pattern genetics and could shed some light so id know one way or the other.
Someone needs to come up with a duck calculator.

There is one... and yes, you will get mallard patterns in mixes...
