I will hopefully get some Ancona ducks and maybe a drake in Spring. Soooo, how much coop and run space do four ducks and one drake need?

I think 6 to 8 square feet for their shelter (in case they need to hunker down during rough weather, a little extra room is very helpful for everyone including you).

For outside, depends on whether they will be out and about some, or in the pen all the time. I take the ducks for walks a couple of times a day, and keep 16 of them in about 200 square feet.

About $1000....We bought pre made panels in a heavier wire...It all depends on your needs?
I think that's OK. I might be able to build it for less. Also, how big is your pool? I have an old kiddie pool that's, 5ft 5in L X 3ft 8in W X 1ft Deep. We have a lot of space so I can put it outside the coop. Do you think it's a good size?

All I use are Kiddie pools too....Yours will be fine...I make a step for them to get into the pool...Ducks do better with steps than with ramps for some reason?
