Duck cross Id help.

Hi I bought seven ducks about two months ago well the end of September. Any how I was told when i bought them that they were full Muscovy. After talking with the people they said that tey had some Mallards that would visit their pond. I just want to know if these are full Muscovy or if they are Mules (Muscovy x Mallard). I personally beleive they are a Mule.

You may have to wait on the muscovy experts, but to me they look like 100% muscovies. Why do you think they are not?

I agree, they look like full muscovy. If they were crossed with mallards they would be darker.

Now that makes sense. The red fleshy skin around the bill is what you are looking for. That comes with age, and females get very little if any of it. I think you have a beautiful flock.

They look like full Muscovy ducks to me, too. I'm no expert.

Only the male gets the fleshy carnuncles. Females have a small amount, but not as much, similar to what you have now.
