Today shooter does Tricks : so I have 3 ducks (waffle shooter and donut) shooter my multi colored duck is the smartest , shooter can do a few simple tricks . Up , lay, and (bowl) stands on a plastic bowl and jumps to receive treat.

Well I have a duck who has had two bad days in a row. The first day my brothers dog got her, and ran with her out the backyard then placed her down in a bush. I ran yelling at the dog and got the duck, she was very stressed but I checked her for wounds but luckily she didn’t have any, then I placed her with her mate Sumo and they walked off.

And yesterday she got stuck in netting. She was very stuck so I had to get her out, which didn’t take that long. Then once again I placed her with her mate Sumo. She is doing a great job at the moment at ending up in bad situations...

Awwwwww I that’s so sad , poor thing I didn’t realize the ducks are like babies !!!! And the bottom of food chain , it’s so sad when they get hurt because they are so innocent and defenseless. Good luck going forward at least she survived !!!!! So she’s a trooper

Did you treat train or clicker train Shooter?

Treat train , I try to go out everyday and do a little exercise treat training with them . They don’t get treat unless they work for it , but shooter naturally was smarter than the other two from the get go maybe her breeed ?

I also call loudly TREEEEEAT lol so they know and they comme running also helps them to come in at night and they get a reward then as well.

Shooter tries diapers: so I ordered these great duck diapers so cute on amazon. I had originally order for Waffle my pekin , she’s more into style And fashion and will allow me to do silly things with her like (blow dry her hair which she LOVES since baby).I ordered a small not realizing how small , luckily my other two ducks got to try them on. They looked so cute ! I kept for memories but although they seemed to have worked I forgot about the pool so she jumped in the pool , they are not designed for that so basically she was swimming with it filled with poop in the pool dragging behind her she then jumped out And ran around yard dragging her wet poopy diaper lol!!!!!!! It was so funny , luckily for shooter she won’t be trying on any new git ups. But I did order some great duck shoes for waffle they should be coming in soon .

We currently have 2 Pekin ducks (Tweedledee & Tweedledum) and a Buff (sex not known yet) who are almost 7 wks old.
When we first put them out in their pen I would go outside about 7 p.m. and herd them into their house for the night. After about 5 days the Buff would see me coming and head up the ramp and the Dee & Dum would follow. They now put themselves in the duck house every night by 7 even if I'm not out there to tell them it's bedtime.
