I dont know how many of you remember me but I had 2 pekin ducks, they were about 2 months old but yesterday some stupid dog somehow got in our yard and bit one of them (the oldest one)
he was the most handsome duck in my world. he was my fatty, and my slow poke. he couldnt get away and the attack was too severe, my bf and I took him to the vet willing to pay for his overnight stay and his surgery afterwards..but it was too late and the doctor said he was suffering too much, itd be better to just let him rest. so we did. and now my babygirl is alone. she doesnt stop crying and cant be alone so Im her new buddy. I always was but St.Quat, was her everything.

I want to buy a duckling so it can get used to her and her with him but I also I want to get a 2 month old boy just so she can have someone to be with at all times..
my bf told me that may not be a good idea considering they get attached to their owners but I want to give it a try.

Does anyone have a duckling or a 2m boy that I may buy or have?
Im sure I can get the duckling at the outdoor swapmeet but I cant get a grown duck there /:
please lmk asap.

I am so sorry for your loss! I have an Indian Runner who is 5 weeks old and I am considering getting her a partner. I went to Craigslist and found a few local breeders. Good Luck!

Here is a pic of my kiddos outside enjoying a lovely spring day!

It is a great idea to get her a mate. I would contribute, but I only have females. I do remember your adorable ducklings, and I'm so sorry for your loss!

So, so sorry to hear about your loss - If I were near you I would give you any one of mine... I can only hope that somebody out there has a duck they are willing to part with that will make your girl happy!

My thoughts go out to you at this difficult time....

sounds like you did the right thing tho... I wish we were closer I have more drakes than I want... Could you go to a feed store and get her a friend?

Im going to try, but its going to be a duckling. I want to find a 2m or 3m male, someone she can stay outdoors with
I appreciate the thought

I had a mallard hen by herself a couple of months because of a sudden death. I put a mirror in with her, and tried to spend as much time as possible outside. You know, after easter, a lot of people want to get rid of that lone duckling they got for a novelty and post them. Or you could post on craiglist you are seeking one.

Awww, sorry you lost one of your ducklings. I remember when you got them. I hope you find a partner for her. I agree, I think you will have some good luck around Easter.
