Greetings feather loving friends!

I have been thinking about getting my disabled crested pekin duckling a diaper for when she's bigger. I am conflicted. The idea is a game changer for the non stop cleanup. Yet it also seems possibly uncomfortable or maybe even unpleasant over feathers and under wings.

Have you ever used a type of diaper on your indoor buddy?
Do you think it's mean to do?
Have you found a solution other than diapers for easy cleanup?
Do you think diapers are a good solution?

Here is one product I found that seems like it would catch well and doesn't strain the neck.

I'm so unsure how I feel about trying this. My duckling won't need it for a few more weeks yet as her droppings are really no big deal yet and easy to control/stay on top of. So I'll be patient and see what others think. Please don't hold back!

I don't want to make my life easier and her life uncomfortable all because I dislike her poo.

The item is 24.99 so it doesn't seem like the worst loss imo. But ethical, personal, and animal wellness related perspectives are so very welcome!

If it’s properly fitted why would it be mean? It’s not considered cruel or mean when we put diapers on babies and disabled individuals. If you were just running around diapering ducks I might question what you were doing, but a disabled duck? I wouldn’t question that at all and say good on you for taking the time to care for her. While I have not diapered ducks, I have made many purchases from Crazy K farms (brand of diaper you have pictured) and would highly recommend their products.

I need to apologize somehow I didn't receive a notification at any responses! Thank you for your input and support. I have never come into a caretaking role such as now and the mess is truly the only thing that slows down our busy thriving days.
Incredible you have appreciated your purchases from them. It seems like a reputable company. And the price point feels fair and they have dimensions that I believe a pekin under 11 lbs may be comfortable in.

I'm so encouraged to see others have considered these needs and found them suitable. I guess watch her walking and comfort levels? Be intuitive and make alterations as needed?

Sorry for a late reply! Thank you!

Oh that's even better than buying from a manufacturer! If this is true I'm pulling out my wallet! I have some time before my disabled duckling will fit into full grown dimensions, maybe sizes as she grows would be good investments incase I run into another duckling with similar issues in the future.
Sure appreciate yall input!
