Duck disappeared mid afternoon

A dog could, but generally dogs make a mess playing with their kill and leave feathers all over the place, and rarely stop at killing one bird.

At Tops there were 4 feather and a tuft of down

I do know this. Trying to find the trail camera. No idea where it is since move.
I have 4 ducklings in the garage right now. They are being socialized so I can help protect them and will have a house and now I’m thinking run too!
I wish I could catch the poor line boy. Very unlikely. He will get about 4 feet from me and that’s it. That’s when he is hungry. He’s sad without his good mate.

If he'll get 4 feet from you could you put food in a dog crate or playpen, and then when he goes in close the door? Then you could keep him somewhere else safe?

I did think of this and will try and I will keep looking for camera.

Tonight when he starts to look for a place to sleep try sitting out and watching him, and then once its dark see if you can sneak up on him and catch him. If you are quiet it might work, ducks can't see well in the dark.
