Duck down :(. What would do this?

Coons can kill cats and dogs. They can climb and dig. They can tear up poultry netting and open latches. They can't cut hardware cloth resist a marshmallow or eat too much lead.

I was thinking the dog to sleep with the ducks and alert the humans when danger comes to the pen. The cats make great mousers as well as marking their territory. The urine of large predators around the coop might deter the coons.

I would never put a single dog or cat against a coon. Where I am people dump so many dogs and cats though that the coons don't dare come here.

We have 3 dogs (2 were rescue by my hubby) but our dogs are inside dogs. they're our family and my hubby even let one of them sleep on our bed. We have 3 black lab.. who are spoiled dogs that even bother to wake up when somebody coming close to her. One of our dogs hate cat because she been attach by cat in the pass so cat doesn't mix very well in our property. But the trap and marshmallow seem work very well so.. we just keep the trap going.

Well, I hope you get the whole family of coons. Can you maybe have more than 1 trap going? What about shooting them if/when you see them?

We have 3 traps going and and any coons in the traps will never have a chance to come back.
