Duck dying from neck being weird??

Friend is watching a duck for a school project but it's dying? And she nor I know what to do because I haven't had this happen to my chickens anyone know what's causing it's to be like this, she thinks it's dead

Right off hand, that looks like "wry neck" also known as "crooked neck". It can be treated and there are some good threads with information on it. Here are a couple links to tell you more:

wry neck is NOT a death sentence. It's only when people don't bother or care to treat the bird, that they just put them down to get rid of them. Please follow the links you have been given.
