Duck egg color variations? Muscovy / Blue Swedish

Ut oh I might be in trouble then :-( gonna have to assume they are blue swedish I think to start with and pray for the best.

My friend set me a pic of the muscovy nest and those eggs look super shiny - these are dull in color so I think I might be safe with them being blue swedish. Thanks for the help everyone!

I was gonna put in a pic of my 3 little babies but cant figure out how to do it! I have a MAC and it just adds the link no photo!

don't worry too much about turning the eggs after the first 25 days. It's most important in the earliest development stages. I've also had eggs hatch out in the turning trays. I have one duck who's babies consistently hatch 3 days early and it took me a while to figure that out. I still had an 80% hatch rate even though her eggs were still being turned and were set upright instead of on their sides. I'm pretty sure the moms still turn their eggs on the nest right up until the babies are born.

Thanks! I will keep everyone updated how they work out! Looks like they will be here for Christmas! I asked my husband to build me a duck house for XMAS - he realized he had no way out so has relented and agreed. We live in a community so must disguise as a tool shed

as these ducks are just wild!
